Christmas in June!
When I worked for the state, I usually wore jeans to the office but one day I decided to get a little crazy and wear a skirt. Actually, I hadn't done laundry in ages, so it was either dirty jeans or a clean skirt. I thought I looked mighty fine so I started workin' the office halls like a catwalk.

Seriously, I really thought I was all that. I even made a point of walking around more often just so everyone could check out my awesome ensemble. I cruised by the cafeteria, I strutted on by the copier and at some point, I went to the bathroom which was waaay on the opposite side of the floor from my cube.

On my way back, I caught people checkin' out my backside. That's right, sweet thang! I know what you're thinkin', and yes, these legs do go aaallll the way up! Mmmhmm...(insert neckroll and z-snap)

When I got back to my desk, two of my coworkers were standing there waiting for me and I added a bit of bounce to my step before walking past them to get to my chair. I tucked my hand back to smooth down my skirt, when I realized...I didn't feel any skirt. All I felt was my "laundry day" underwear, the big ol' honkin' granny panties that came up to my ribs and had a festive holiday print on them.

I looked at my coworkers, they looked at me and after an awkward silence, they just busted out laughing. Of course they were two men, one in his 40s, the other like a year away from retirement. I demanded they turn away while I yanked my skirt out of my underwear and pulled it back down to restore the privacy of the frolicking Christmas characters.

And the extra sad thing was, it was the middle of summer. Who wears Christmas underwear in June? Me. And now everyone knew it.

The moral of the story? Always wear good underwear. You never know who's gonna see it.
